The Intrepid Detail Shot

I have been neglecting my Blogger account so here's a detail shot of a piece I'm very happy with this spring semester.  I find myself posting on Tumblr a lot more as of late.  I've been very busy this year with my position as the UF ceramics club treasurer, coursework, and teaching.  I'm getting better at what I do, but I'm not content.  I need to keep pushing forward.  Next on the to-do list:  NCECA and then my 2nd year review.  Here's hoping my 2nd year review goes well at the end of the month!

Late Night Progress

So I'm working on a couple of busts.  Yes, the female has arms.  I'm just working on them right now.  I just wanted to post an update before this thing went into a kiln to finish drying out for a firing tomorrow.  The male sculpture will not get arms, but have two joints should I feel like putting some on later.  Hopefully this thing doesn't fall apart in the kiln!

Gumdrops and Cyborgs

Thought I would share a couple of shots from one of my sketchbooks. Some brainstorming and daydreaming during class.  That gumdrop's going on a coffee cup!

A Studio Shot

A shot of my studio.  The female on the left should be completed by the weekend and in the kiln.  The male on the right should be done by the end of next week.  Just need to go back into these forms for detail.
