So I get a lot of people asking how to purchase my cups and I can never direct people to one location. Well, I've solved this problem and added a page to my site for cup purchases. One of the galleries will have to be called for pricing, inventory, and all that stuff. The other three options have online stores. You should visit all of these places not just for my stuff, but there's a lot of kick ass work there! Click HERE (or on the picture) if you want to visit their shops!

Rob Kolhousehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15557833800877820014noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2539671250935361636.post-16125051541473658712014-01-28T13:06:00.001-05:002014-01-28T13:06:29.331-05:00Sketch for thesis

So I'm in the midst of thesis and have several ideas. I figured I would update the page a smidge. I opened an Etsy shop for the bunny mugs and have been pushing my work forward since the beginning of the summer. I think I'm on the right track. The work has been scaled down and it doesn't look terrible. So here are a couple of updates:
These figures have no finished surface on them. They are just bisque at the moment. I'm happy now, but I'm sure I'll be tired of these later. I find myself posting on Tumblr a lot more as of late. I've been very busy this year with my position as the UF ceramics club treasurer, coursework, and teaching. I'm getting better at what I do, but I'm not content. I need to keep pushing forward. Next on the to-do list: NCECA and then my 2nd year review. Here's hoping my 2nd year review goes well at the end of the month!

So this is what everything has led up to this semester. Sorry for the lack of posts, but this semester has been about learning a new skill set. I think this piece shows growth. I know I'm happy with it. I hope the bots and random passerby's enjoy it too. I've also started a Tumblr account for fun. It can be found here: Link
This semester has been very busy for me. I'm currently learning a new skill to further my work. I also just found out that one of my pieces was accepted in the NCECA Student Juried Exhibition. I hope that means I'm doing something right! Here's a teaser pic for this semester's work:<div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Rob Kolhousehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15557833800877820014noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2539671250935361636.post-10933290642336182022012-07-29T02:16:00.001-04:002012-07-29T02:16:00.587-04:00One of the fall projects!I have a collaboration with a good friend this spring and have been deciding what to make. So I have this piece that I've been wanting to simply draw lines on. I made it smooth to draw and decal it. I decided to go a different route and use some pin striping. I have never pin striped before, but I did see it done on television once. I like what it's doing so far. I just haven't had time to live with it yet.
So I'm working on a couple of busts. Yes, the female has arms. I'm just working on them right now. I just wanted to post an update before this thing went into a kiln to finish drying out for a firing tomorrow. The male sculpture will not get arms, but have two joints should I feel like putting some on later. Hopefully this thing doesn't fall apart in the kiln!
I had a ruptured L5-S1 disk that was pressing on my sciatic nerve starting around Thanksgiving. I had the fragment removed in February. There will be more pieces in the next few weeks. Since I doubt anyone is reading this or really cares I'm going to hold the "M" key for a little while:
